Contact Energy joins Clearhead for a holistic approach to wellbeing

Contact Energy is one of New Zealand’s highest profile and largest power companies. There are more than 1,100 employees all over the country, supplying electricity, gas and broadband to many thousands of New Zealanders every day.

In talking to their staff, they realised with more of their people taking up a hybrid approach to working that they needed a more flexible approach to their EAP services. Filling out paper based forms and getting manager sign off was making the process hard and creating barriers. In short, uptake of services was low and the business wasn’t seeing the benefits.

So, they called Clearhead.

As Clearhead made mental health more accessible, they noticed the stigma around it start to drop away. They liked the language that was used and the positive focus Clearhead had - it encouraged people to proactively work on their mental health. It put the power back in people’s hands and allowed them to have control of their own wellbeing.
