Biography

『 I only offer on-line and non-emergency counselling session via Microsoft teams. Please contact me only via emails. 』 I register with NZ psychologist board as a counselling psychologist and have been in private practice in NZ for almost 5 years. I provide individual and couple therapy to adult clients. My individual work taps into eclectic approach, including CBT, MBCT, ACT, Body and emotions work, and psychodynamic psychotherapy, and tries to meet clients’ need in both brief or long-term counseling. I have completed Emotionally-Focused Couple Therapy training in NZ, which informs my work from relational lens and better equips me to work with emotions with both couple and individual clients. Coming from Taiwan, I honor multicultural perspective with clients from various backgrounds. Mandarine counseling I also provide. I am keen to provide EAP services because work is crucial to healthy human life. I have a plethora of study and work experiences in different settings and diciplines, which help my understanding of adaptation process to organizations. Before coming to NZ, I have worked in secondary school as a guidance counselor, case worker for dementia patients and their families, and as a counseling psychologist in a community counseling center. I have a BA in economics and have worked in banks. Later on, I acquired a MS in psychology in Taiwan and a MA in counselling in USA. I help clients manage conflicts between co-workers , cope with anxiety in graduate schools, setting appropriate goals in work, and make career choices in my private practice in NZ. One of my client commented that his 1st session to be more helpful than the previuos EAP he had. This affirms me that empathic attunement is the gateway to clients’ wellbeing and conducive to coping strategy couching. I look forward to work with you and expand my service to more clients needing support in work and life.
