Kia Ora Koutou I am an experienced counsellor with a specialty focus in Perinatal Mental Health. Becoming pregnant (whether planned or not, effortless or challenging), carrying a child, giving birth, and bringing a baby home are all life-changing experiences, and it’s perfectly normal for parents to need extra support during those times. These life events can come with a mix of emotions and a variety of needs that leave many women and their families feeling like they could use some additional support, this includes any difficulties bonding with your baby. Mental health complications are common during this time. If you feel particularly triggered or distressed, potentially due to a past traumatic event or the birth left you with complicated feelings, I can help support you through this as well. I also offer grief support for many forms of baby loss. Give me a call for an initial chat, I'd love to hear from you.
