Welcome, I aim to come alongside you, help you clarify what you are experiencing, and grow through those changes or challenges. I respect that you come with your own wisdom about what has happened, even if sometimes it takes a conversation or many to clarify what you have experienced and find stability. Alongside your understanding, I'm happy to work with other ways of seeing the issues, and other ways of responding to events that are troubling, seem out of control or simply won't stay in the past. As a Narrative Therapy and Person-Centred Therapy Counsellor, I like to work at your pace, explore the situation, consider different perspectives and work towards a solution that sits comfortably with who you are and your experience of life. If you aren't ready to put whats happening into words, sometimes a Sandtray can give a easier way to clarify the issues. If we are working with trauma or flashbacks or just not being able to stop thinking about something, sometimes just having the tools mindfulness gives to let you be present, escape to now, and find rest, allows space to find a way forward. With an interest in attachment I also appreciate the role the relationships around us may contribute to the problem but also often to healing. Looking forward to meeting you, kindly, Valda
