I am a registered Clinical Psychologists with the New Zealand Psychologists Board with 18 years’ experience, mostly in psychiatric hospitals and public sector mental health, across United States and New Zealand. I am also a member of the New Zealand Psychological Society. While I primarily work from a biopsychosocial model, my approach to therapy includes elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and Mindfulness; however, I am flexible to the needs of the client. I can also provide Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) technique. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, non-judgmental, and collaborative environment for my clients. It is important to me that my clients feel heard and understood, and that I can help them feel empowered to develop the skills needed to get through difficult times. I work primarily with adults (18+) but will also work with adolescents from ages 13+. I provide psychological assessment and treatment for a range of conditions including: • Depression • Anxiety • Anger/Stress Management • Sexual trauma • Concerning sexual behaviours • Interpersonal problems • Domestic Violence (individuals only, no couples) • Emotional dysregulation • Transitional issues • Gender and cultural identity problems • Work/life balance • Resettlement/immigration • Job burnout/work-related stress • ACC sensitive claims (in New Zealand) My rates are $175 plus GST for a 45-minute session.
