Kia ora. I’m Tommy I’m passionate about helping people to live life to the full. As a counsellor, FIT (Functional Imagery Training) coach and mental health speaker, I work with individuals and groups to achieve their goals and overcome mental hurdles. Counselling is for everyone — whether you’re stressed or overwhelmed by current challenges, or you want to address some things that have been hanging over you for many years. I practise person-centred counselling, which is about making you feel safe and supported, and allowing you to set the pace and focus of our sessions. Depending on your needs, I can work with you on a short-term or long-term basis. The benefits of counselling can include a greater sense of purpose, connecting with your values, having healthier relationships, finding meaning in difficult experiences, and having better overall wellbeing. I’m trained in a range of psychological modalities, such as CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), narrative therapy and solution-focused therapy. I have a particular focus on IFS (Internal Family Systems) and ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy), which is about living a values-based life.
