Hi, I'm Steph. My core training is in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and I draw on strengths-based, solution-focused and mindfulness approaches when they're useful. Expect plain language and a fair amount of humour. You don't need to arrive with it neatly explained. Most of the people I work with look like they're managing. You're often the one others rely on. You hold yourself to a standard nobody else set, and you carry a fair amount of anxiety without much of it showing from the outside. That can look like low mood, perfectionism, or a sense of self-worth that never quite settles. I'm a Registered Social Worker with twelve years in mental health across Canada and Aotearoa New Zealand. I work with people aged 15 and over, online across Aotearoa New Zealand and in person in Parnell, Auckland.
BA (Psychology),BSW and MSW (Clinical Social Work),University of Windsor. Registered with the Social Workers Registration Board (SWRB) in New Zealand and the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) in Canada. Member of ANZAED and PATHA. FBT certified 2022.
