Kia Ora, my name is Shane Hooper, I have a degree in Social Work. I have worked as a social worker for Oranga Tamariki and Open Home foundation, these years of exepeience has helped me gain an understanding of families struggles when children have been taken away from them by the ministry of children and also helping families preventing these outcomes. It has also given me insight of the amount of trauma this causes for children and their families, and also acknowledging the intergenerational trauma. I'm also currently working in the mental health field providing brief counselling for people ages 13-24, working to help their mental health but also a range of other challenges.
