Biography

I have worked for over a decade in education, forensic, drug & alcohol, community and private practice settings with adults and adolescents who are experiencing difficulties that are impacting upon their own wellbeing and lives, and upon those important to them. My goal is to equip people with an increased understanding of themselves, tools and strategies for healing, change, mental and emotional wellbeing, and to feel empowered and re-connected to themselves and others. My specialist areas, not limited to, are: trauma, anxiety, depression/low mood, interpersonal difficulties, work, study and life pressures, learning difficulties. I helps clients find ways to:- * cope with worries and anxiety that will leave them feeling calmer, lighter, more self-assured and with more energy to enjoy life. * deal with difficult emotions, such as anger and frustration, that will leave them feeling more in control, be connected to people who matter to them, and live according to their values and goals. * improve interpersonal communication and relationships so that they may maintain dignity, integrity and find renewed strength in identifying what they need, and be able to ask for change/help. * regain a sense of trust in their own abilities, skills and strengths; * feel more at peace within themselves and to feel they have a life worth living. NZAC (Provisional Member), ACC, I Am Hope, and WINZ registered.
