Biography

***Currently Not Accepting New Clients*** My name is Sandy Laurenson, I am a Clinical Psychologist with a special interest in working with adolescents and adults. I graduated with a Master of Clinical Psychology in 2014 and have worked in both the public and private sectors. I support people with a range of mental health issues (i.e., anxiety, stress, low mood, emotion dysregulation, relational difficulties, trauma, OCD, and eating disorders), as well as those perusing performance optimisation goals. I am trained in evidence-based therapies such as CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, and Mindfulness. I believe applied psychology can help people live the life they want. I encourage those I work with to have a reflective, kinder, less judgmental relationship with themselves and to overcome psychological or contextual barriers that have weighed them down and prevented them from achieving their goals. I ensure that each person is listened to with the greatest care and believe that the therapeutic relationship is an important catalyst for change. People may explore some tricky material in treatment, but they will feel safe and supported in the process. I look forward to hearing from you.
