Biography

My name is Sandy Laurenson, I am a Clinical Psychologist who offers online appointments to adolescents and adults. I have more than 10 years experience in both public and private sectors and support people with a range of difficulties (i.e., anxiety, OCD, stress, low mood, emotion dysregulation, relational difficulties, trauma and eating disorders), as well as those pursuing performance optimisation goals. I am trained in evidence-based therapies such as CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, and Mindfulness. I believe applied psychology can help people live the life they want. I encourage those I work with to have a reflective, kinder, less judgmental perspective of themselves and to overcome psychological or contextual barriers that have weighed them down and prevented them from achieving their goals. I ensure that each person is listened to with the greatest care and believe that the therapeutic relationship is an important catalyst for change. People may explore some tricky material in treatment, but they will feel safe and supported in the process. Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you.
