Kia ora! I am a New Zealand trained, British counsellor providing general counselling for anxiety, depression, grief, trauma and life changes.I also have specialist training and experience working with neurodiverse children and adults. I work in flexible and creative ways to support individuals to be themselves and to foster positive connections with others and have a strong interest in up-to-date neuroscience together with a fascination for the full range of human cultures. These inform my holistic and person-centred practice, acknowledging that family, culture, spirituality and creativity are vital for positive mental health. I am committed to working sensitively and safely with with people from all cultural backgrounds and LGBTQI+. I aim to provide a unique experience which responds to your needs, but generally counselling may include: Analysing relationship dynamics – how these have developed and how they are maintained Exploring values, assumptions and beliefs about the world Discovering strengths and challenges Exploring supportive and functional strategies and solutions Funding for my services may be accessed via WINZ and Gumboot. It is also possible to use Carer Support subsidy for services.
