Kia ora, I am a counsellor with experience in general counselling for issues such as anxiety, depression, loss, trauma, family/relationship issues and career direction. I also specialize in working with clients with Autism Spectrum, Attention Deficit Disorders and many other neurodivergences. I provide in person and online counselling for individual children, adolescents and adults, who may have or suspect a diagnosis, or are a family member of a diagnosed person. Often, I work with a whole family to support and improve understanding and relationships, making lives a little easier for all. Through over 20 years of experience in working with and listening to children and families in the UK and, since 2006, in Aotearoa, I have developed ways of working with creative therapies and therapeutic play, as well as talking therapies that draw on different approaches, that support people to be who they are, and to build self-esteem, resilience, and strength. Funding for my services may be accessed via WINZ and Gumboot. It is also possible to use Carer Support subsidy for services. Please do not hesitate to contact me for a no obligation chat about what we might achieve together if you are not sure whether my services are right for you. I hold provisional registration with New Zealand Association of Counsellors.
