Ko Robyn Pomare Toku Ingoa Uri o hau No Ngapuhi, Te aopouri Ngatikuri He Kainga Noho Ki Kirikiriroa Ko Robyn Pomare tōku ingoa. I hail from the Far North, with strong connections to Hokianga, Ahipara, and Te Hāpua. I was born and raised in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) and moved to Kirikiriroa in 2021, where I now live. From a young age, I was raised within the rongoā Māori space, guided and nurtured by many mentors who helped grow and strengthen my gifts. Within this space, I offer a range of rongoā practices including Mirimiri, Romiromi, Komiri, Hapūtanga, Fertility Support (for whānau experiencing challenges with conception), and Kōrero āwhina. Alongside my rongoā mahi, I have worked in the health sector for over 25 years across a range of settings. My experience includes: Early intervention services with pēpi and rangatahi, as well as working with kaumātua and kuia within NGO settings. Addiction and mental health services, providing cultural support within Waitematā DHB for 16 years, before transitioning into mainstream services. Since moving to Kirikiriroa in 2021, I have worked within mental health and, for the past three years, in the sexual trauma space (not as an ACC sensitive claims provider). I also walk alongside whānau who are navigating grief, bereavement, and the impacts of whānau suicide. My therapeutic approach is grounded in te ao Māori and a cultural lens, while also being able to work effectively within mainstream contexts. This enables me to support whānau as they navigate complex and often intergenerational challenges, whether current or historical. Our Service: Hokioi Therapy Limited provides Rongoā Māori healing and rehabilitation services for individuals recovering from sports injuries, workplace accidents, and other physical or emotional challenges. Our holistic approach draws on traditional Māori healing practices such as mirimiri, romiromi, rongoā rākau, karakia, and kōrero to support recovery and restore balance to the body, mind, and wairua (spirit). We also operate as an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) service provider, offering Rongoā Māori sessions through employer wellbeing initiatives—ensuring cultural, spiritual, and physical support in the workplace. Our Rongoā Māori services can be accessed directly or through leading EAP networks including Clearhead, Tellus, and Vitae, making it easier for individuals and organisations to integrate traditional healing into modern health and wellbeing pathways. For workplace groups of four or more, we offer on-site Mirimiri and Romiromi sessions — creating a relaxing and restorative experience right in your workplace environment. We can easily arrange a setup that suits your team’s space and schedule. To book or make an enquiry, please email [email protected] Mauri Tu Mauri ora
