Biography

Neil is an experienced Professional Registered Counsellor and Change Manager with post graduate qualifications in Counselling and Special Needs Programmes. Neil has regular face to face clinics in Hawera and Wanganui. Zoom Video and telephone appointments are also available by arrangement. Phone 0220 10 28 58. Neil is trained in mainstream modalities of Cognitive Behaviour therapy [CBT], Rational Emotive Behaviour therapy [REBT] and Mindfulness. Neil has a depth of professional knowledge through work experience in three countries including roles as Behaviour Team Leader with the Ministry of Education’s Specialist Education Services, Senior Regional Counsellor with the Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind, Manager Ministry of Education attached unit for Intellectual and Physical Disabilities, WINZ Family Break Down assessor, Sexual Abuse Intervention Team member and School Counsellor. Most recently Neil is working with some of New Zealand's largest companies, including Fonterra Capital Projects, to develop workplace selfcare and resilience initiatives. Nationally Neil and his Associates present a range of interactive selfcare seminars prompting cognitive awareness tools and strategies: Neil is also a Professional Supervisor assisting managers, CEO’s and Practitioners to maintain professional best practice and work life balance.
