I am a registered social worker and registered alcohol and drug practitioner with 15 years' experience working with people with problematic alcohol and drug use and related issues such as anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, work and relationship problems. I also work with family members experiencing problems linked to their loved one's use of alcohol and drugs to help them understand why people use substances and how they can put their own wellbeing first while still supporting their family member. I have worked with clients in the justice system, both in prison and probation, and residential treatment and community services. I will work with you at your own pace to help you identify the underlying reasons for your use and alternatives to using. I work from a harm reduction perspective which means I will work with you to achieve what you want to achieve whether that be to use in a safer way, to reduce your use or to stop completely.
