Dr Marion Roberts is the Director and Principal Clinical Psychologist at Nurture Psychology, a specialist private practice in Auckland and Christchurch, offering evidence-based treatment for eating disorders and related anxiety & mood concerns. The team at Nurture Psychology have a huge passion for the provision of evidence-based treatment for children, adolescents & adults across the full range of disordered eating presentations. This includes anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, early restrictive eating, chronic dieting, binge eating and fussy eating (ARFID), together with body confidence and co-existing anxiety concerns. The base of their work with adults draws from a specialist eating disorder cognitive-behavioural (CBT) approach, also integrating other specialist eating disorder treatment models and adjunct approaches as appropriate for the client. For adolescents, an integrative model blending family-based and individual adolescent work is typically utilised (Adolescent & Parent Treatment or APT), and tailored for each adolescent & their family. Dr Roberts completed her PhD (Psychological Medicine- eating disorders) at King's College London, and maintains an academic role at the University of Auckland as Senior Lecturer in mental health for primary care.
