Counsellor
Specialised support for
Eating Disorders, Grief & Loss, Identity Issues

I have worked as a counsellor since 2006 in private practice, charities and in tertiary education. I use narrative ideas in my counselling approach prioritising how you make meaning of your life and relationships. I value collaboration, compassion and respect in my conversations. I have a depth of experience working with people experiencing eating difficulties/disorders. This comes from narrative, SSCM and lived experience insights, training and research. I am particularly drawn to the special practice of companioning people navigating life with an impactful health condition and those experiencing change, loss and grief. I consider that as humans we are always trying to do the best we can with what we have/where we are at. Working with me will assist you to join the dots in your life in ways you may not have done before, leading to novel and hopeful possibilities. And I will facilitate conversations that connect you to your values and strengths in ways that sustain you in the challenges and support the change you seek.
