Biography

I am a senior counsellor with extensive experience working with people around a variety of issues. I am in private practice and hold a number of contracts, Victim Support and ACC are a couple of examples. I also work for a NGO. I am constantly attending professional development in a way that allows me to keep up with new ways of working. I am eclectic in my work and utilise a number of theoretical frameworks to inform my practice. However I view a positive therapeutic relationship as being one of the most important ingredients in helping people make the shifts they seek in their lives. I have a special interest in trauma and grief work and am able to work with trauma memories using a fairly new psychological intervention with exciting outcomes for clients. I love the work I do and feel privileged to journey alongside people in their lives when they may feeling most vulnerable.
