Biography

Lisa is in private practice offering telephone, zoom as well as face to face appointments in Wellington City and Lower Hutt one day a week. She has worked as a nurse since 1993 and counsellor formally since 2012.This has been in health, Government departments and community sectors including a clinic on local Marae. Trained in several Talking Therapies, she has a lot of experience in assessment and treatment of a variety of mental health issues which also includes medical, family, work, grief, and parenting. Lisa is most comfortable working with ages 12 years and up. Lisa likes to work in an honest conversational way where you will feel listened to and cared for. Lisa has worked with Skylight to provide The Waves Programme for people bereaved by suicide in the Hutt Valley. Outside of health Lisa has been a medic in the Territorial Army, worked for a freight company, public relations, she has sat on board and governance groups.
