Ms Kirsty Britton

Counsellor
Specialised support for
Neurodivergence, Post traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Kia ora :) I am a 45-year-old pākehā counsellor based in the Bay of Plenty, offering both in-person and online therapy services. My professional training and ongoing development have been deeply grounded in both te ao Māori, and western evidence-based clinical frameworks, reflecting a bicultural approach to therapeutic practice in Aotearoa. This integration strongly informs my therapeutic worldview and supports a holistic, relational approach to wellbeing. I work from a trauma-informed, strengths-based perspective and offer a range of evidence-based therapies tailored to the unique needs, values, and lived experiences of each client. My practice is informed by an understanding of the impacts of trauma, attachment, neurodiversity, and systemic stressors, and I aim to provide a safe, culturally responsive, and collaborative therapeutic space.
