Kia Ora I am an experienced Counsellor of 18 years, a Professional Supervisor, Certified Life Coach, and an ACC Sensitive Claim Provider. My experiences have included working in a variety of counselling agencies and professional settings over 45 years, and have worked in my private practice for the past 12 years. I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations, each bringing their own stories and struggles. This has enriched my practice and reinforced the belief that everyone deserves to be heard and valued. I strive to create a safe non-judgmental space where clients can express themselves freely and explore their thoughts and feelings and am guided by my Code of Ethics. My approach is holistic, integrating a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to the individual's needs. In addition I have basic training in the somatic therapy 'The Havening Technique', and I am currently working towards full certification as a Havening Technique Therapist. (Havening is a somatic therapy technique which releases emotional distress and trauma through gentle touch and sensory input, creating a calming effect on the nervous system, promoting safety and wellbeing.) Outside of counselling, I enjoy spending 'time-out' in nature, crafting, being with family, friends and caring for my multitude of animals! If you like what you read, let's embark on this journey together, and give me a call!
