Biography

Kia ora and Makadini Ko Taupiri Toku Maunga, Ko Waikato Toku Awa Ko Eddie Mtakwa Toku Ingoa My name is Eddie and I am a Registered Psychologist, originally born in Zimbabwe and raised in lovely Aotearoa. I am married and have three beautiful tamariki. I am very passionate about culture and helping others manage difficulties associated with various mental health symptoms. My psychology practice is dedicated to providing strength-based, culturally inclusive, evidence-based, and holistic care to all individuals seeking support. I believe that every person possesses unique strengths and resources that can be harnessed to promote growth and healing. By taking a culturally sensitive approach, I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for individuals from all backgrounds. My practice is grounded in the latest research and evidence-based interventions, which I tailor to each individual's needs and preferences.
