Biography

Kia Ora, There is nothing more rewarding than being alongside another human being to facilitate their healing process. I graduated as an Art Therapist in 1997 in the Netherlands and I have worked with children, adolescents, parents, families and adults in different modalities ever since. My drive for learning and growing as a human being and as therapist has expanded not only my skills, but also my heart. I have had training in Solution Focussed Therapy and Family System Therapy in the Netherlands and during my time in New Zealand (9 years) I have done Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) level one (2016) and level two (2018); The Art of Allowing Facilitators Training, graduation in 2018; and Synergetic Play Therapy, graduation in 2021. This year I completed the training Emotional Healing Processes, at Possibility Management Aotearoa (PM). The wide range of learning and working experiences has filled up my toolkit, so each client can be treated uniquely, fitting their wants and needs. Please check out my website for more specific information about the different modalities. I am working online, using Zoom. In my experience, the quality of the online therapy sessions for adults, can be as good and deep as they are in person. I am looking forward to meeting you. https://damietloor.mystrikingly.com
