Art therapy is a place to use the creative arts to work through difficult moments in your life. It is especially good for those who find it hard to find the right words to express themselves or for those who would like to try a therapeutic approach other than talking therapies. Art therapy is suitable for all groups and ages. A typical first session would include identifying your goals and then working towards achieving them using a range of creative modalities. I typically use the visual arts (drawing, painting, sculpture, symbol work etc) but we can also incorporate movement, music and creative writing to support your therapeutic experience. All materials are supplied as part of your fee for in person consultations. If you are booking online consultations please have ready a range of basic art materials for your session. Whatever you have at hand will be fine. Professional supervision individual/group is available for those working in the helping professions.
