Biography

I am a trained counsellor with more than 25 years' experience in family therapy, sexual violence, couples counselling, individual counselling and counselling supervision. I have been a counsellor educator for 16 years and am currently teaching on a Bachelor of Counselling. I have a PhD and a Masters in Conflict Resolution. I have been a member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors NZAC for 23 years. I work in collaboration with you, firstly to get to know the problem and how it is influencing and affecting the various domains of your life. We will identify exceptions to the problem (those times when it is not around) and discover or re-discover your strengths and abilities. Along the way we will work out what you already know that might help, so that a new story can emerge, one that is more helpful for you.
