Biography

I'm a professional Counsellor with counselling experience in many areas, such as depression, anxiety, grief, couples counselling, mental health issues and Sexual Abuse/Assault. I have spent a number of years working in the field of mental health, counselling families and individuals who have been effected by mental illness. What I think makes my service distinctive are my strong clinical skills and mature outlook. I demonstrate a strong respect for the values and belief systems of others while remaining supportive, broad minded and non-judgemental. I have a caring and empathetic nature, helping to put my clients at ease. One of the aspects I like most about my job, is making a positive difference in people’s lives, helping people through challenging situations and reaching a positive outcome with clients who present with a wide variety of issues. This is made easier due to my strengths of excellent communication, and interpersonal and listening skills. I am able to develop strong relationships with clients from a diverse range of backgrounds by demonstrating empathy and ensuring private matters remain confidential.
