I believe very strongly that we all have the power within ourselves to live the best lives we can. I’m not a fixer, I don’t have all the answers. My aim is to provide a calm, safe space where I will use the skills I have available to help you move forward to a happier place. I am a pluralistic counsellor in that I believe that different modalities help different people and that we are complex and individual so that no one modality will fit all people and their issues. With this in mind I use a range of methods to help each client. This means being open to constant research and reading to find the best fit for each client. This suits my personality very well as I’m committed to ongoing personal and professional development. I grew up in Scotland and have lived in Aotearoa/NZ for years. I have two grown children who live abroad and I have a Masters in Counselling from Massey University.
