Māori Televisions Te ao Mārama spoke to Petera Hakiwai who translated the Clearhead website and chatbot into te reo Māori.  This version of Clearhead aims to better support Māori with accessing the mental health support they need.

As Māori are consistently over represented in New Zealand's suicide statistics, Clearhead wanted to provide a safe space for Māori to access culturally inclusive resources and be able to converse with the digital wellbeing chatbot in te reo Māori. Clearhead wanted to reduce any barriers to receiving mental health support for the Māori community. Nib Foundation and nib New Zealand supported Clearhead with the launch of our te reo Māori website and chatbot offering.
