I support adults who are struggling with a range of life challenges. This may be a situational issue or more ongoing challenges in life where you have notice repeated patterns. This could be things like struggling with mental health, emotional overwhelm, stress, relational issues or breakdown, life transition, work or study pressure, substance misuse, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues and trauma. As a Counsellor I provide a compassionate and authentic space to explore what has brought you here today. Whether you are looking for short term counselling or wanting to delve into your experiences in more depth, therapy can support you to develop insight, awareness and bring about change. At a foundation level, I work from a humanistic, trauma-informed, and relational framework. I am an integrative therapist that draws on a diverse range of modalities and approaches depending on the individual person. I describe my therapeutic style as collaborative, curious and genuine, whilst utilising trauma-informed principles, and a strength-based approach. I believe therapy is a collaborative process in which a cornerstone of the experience is in the relationship. It can take courage to consider reaching out for support, particularly if it is the first time. It is not uncommon to feel apprehensive about engaging in therapy even though it can be very beneficial in many ways. Just showing up, and maybe even with a little willingness to be vulnerable, is progress.
