At the heart of my counselling approach, is the desire to create a judgement-free space where clients feel understood, empowered, and accepted for who they are. Drawing on the principles of person centred, unconditional positive regard, I work with clients to safely explore and reflect on the challenging aspects of their lives and develop practical, meaningful ways to foster well-being I am passionate in the pursuit of inclusion, equity and access for all people regardless of neurotype, gender or background. With a background in education support, I am passionate in working with individuals and families to support their needs, address trauma and work towards personal goals. With a background in education support, I meet you where you are to support executive function, recognise and understand physical and emotional states, and understand the why behind the needs. deep understanding of Autism - male and female presentations, ADHD - late diagnosis, Gender diversity and PDA. I have a strong understanding of the NCCD, the provisions of support within the school system and how to navigate these. I am an ally to help find solutions, develop self advocacy and promote collaborate practice. I offer support to parents and the family unit. Trained in a range of therapies but using an eclectic strengths based approach to ensure that support is person centred and tailored to individual needs. I draw on principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Reminiscence and Narrative therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Mindfulness techniques.
