Biography

Kristen is a local university graduate, prior lecturing academic, researcher in the field of vocational psychology, and treating clinician recently with Australia's largest private provider of psychological services and now independently in her own private practice. She applies evidence-based and localised practice-based experience with the freedom to collaborate and connect through person-centred care. Her approach is intentional in supporting and empowering clients to become more effective in pursuing their goals. She employs her compassionate and curious manner to assist clients to lead more authentic and values congruent lives. Kristen practices unconditional positive regard for her clients in acknowledgement of their intrinsic worth. She is genuine with her clients in the safest ethical way possible, conducive for optimal therapeutic outcomes and is ever developing professionally in the process of therapy and through continuing professional development. Although Kristen aspires for altruism, her work is not entirely selfless as she is inspired through her career in the profession alongside her courageous clients, enabling her to complete a sky walk on the tallest building of one of the continents she once visited. As found with many of the things we determine are greatest in life, such as raising a family, she takes comfort having learned it was challenging but worth it.
