Dom brings a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to counselling with individuals. During his time in private practice, he has conducted more than 8000 sessions with clients from very diverse backgrounds and experiences. He is an enthusiastic member of the ACA (Australian Counselling Association), PACFA, and an accredited ACA Supervisor to other counsellors. He continually builds on his expertise and knowledge to provide the highest level of care and assistance. In providing a non-judgmental space, Dom always strives to create an encouraging environment that helps his clients speak and express themselves freely. Counselling can feel a bit scary to even the bravest of us, so Dom works hard to create an open and respectful time in which even the most nervous of us can feel heard and accepted. Dom will aim to appropriately use a direct counselling style focused on your progress and goals. Regardless of the issues, you need to feel validated and comfortable. Dom actively listens and shows high levels of empathy with his clients. He is also regarded as flexible, in that he will tailor the sessions to the specific needs of the client instead of following pre-determined guidelines. His sense of humour can also alleviate tensions where appropriate.
