Monique is a warm, thoughtful, and empathic psychologist. She places emphasis on the therapeutic relationship, understanding that taking that first step can be overwhelming. Monique has experience working with people experiencing a range of psychological distress including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, disordered eating, posttraumatic stress, and addictions. Monique has a special interest in working with people living with schizophrenia and psychosis. Monique is trained in evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. In addition, Monique integrates therapeutic frameworks such as mindfulness, attachment, and schema informed therapy. Monique has worked in settings including inpatient and outpatient mental health, forensic mental health, community based mental health and mental health support for people experiencing homelessness. She approaches all her work with compassion and provides a non-judgemental space.
