Biography

I'm a counsellor, registered with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), and have been a community worker for over 30 years. I'm currently working in the mental health sector, running and supporting groups. I find it rewarding seeing people supporting each other, solving problems and, hopefully, enjoying their lives. In my private counselling practice I work best with men. I'm good at listening to and learning about my clients. I'm flexible with my approach to counselling; e.g. I like 'walking and talking' sessions. I like to help people overcome being 'stuck' in a problem. I'm good at helping people with communication, conflict and relationship issues. I like to help people work out what is important in their lives. I enjoy working on mindfulness and emotional regulation. I enjoy working with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
